Final Schedule Released

The final 2010-11 schedule with venues listed has been released by the Portland Winterhawks and we can now plan accordingly for the upcoming season.

The home opener has now been moved to Monday, September 27 at the Rose Garden against the Vancouver Giants.

One note, all non-Sunday games will be at 7:00 this year (Friday night games were at 7:30 the past couple of years).  The only exception is New Years Eve (on a Friday this year, starting at 8:00).  Sunday night games will remain at 5:00.

The Trail Blazers released their schedule as well and there are four dates where the Hawks and Blazers will be playing at home on the same day — Saturday, November 6 vs. Everett, Saturday, November 20 vs. Kamloops, Sunday, January 9 vs. Everett and Saturday, January 22 vs. Seattle.

Training camp starts with registration in 15 days, on August 25th.  On-ice sessions will start the next day, stay tuned to the Hawks website for details on the session times.

I hope to have a season preview on this site sometime next week…

  1. Will the training camps be open to the public again this year?

  2. Dan,
I would expect the camp to be open to the public like in the past years.

  4. Andy,

I would love to see your season standings, and playoff predictions for the 2010-2011 season when you have a bit of free time.
