Hutt Dealt to Regina…

Hutt, KillianThe Portland Winterhawks traded 18 year old forward Killian Hutt to the Regina Pats for a 4th Round pick in the 2010 WHL Bantam Draft and a conditional pick in the 2011 Bantam Draft.

Hutt played one year in Portland after being acquired from Medicine Hat in exchange for Tristan King.  He posted 13-22-35 in 57 games as a rookie forward.

Hutt was not on the active roster after leaving the team during training camp.

I wish Killian the best of luck with the Pats as he continues his WHL career.

  1. I liked rooting for Hutt, and I too hope him the best.

Again, this is an indicator of the improvement of the team. IMO, the Ross-Reddin-Hutt line was the top line at the start of last season, where as Hutt didn’t make the cut & Reddin is playing on a (theoretical) 4th line.

The ‘Hawks went out and got good over the offseason. I like that.

Again, good luck in Regina, Killian!

  2. I would like to send a message out to the Winterhawk fans, don’t wait to jump on the bandwagon attend the games now. I got to attend Sunday’s game and was very glad I did, I saw an excellent effort at both ends of the ice.

You folk have a young growing team that is going to become a very good team in the WHL. To see only 1552 fans there is sad as these kids deserve your support, they work hard and unlike the previous owners this group wants to build YOU a winner.

However they can not do it without you so please show up and give these kids the support they deserve.

  3. I will miss Hutt Hutt! Best wishes for him in Regina, hope he “lights ’em up”!!!!!

  4. Well said, Jess. Looks like we’ve built a great team for this season. Can’t wait til we can get to a game… I’m so bummed we had to miss opening weekend. GO HAWKS! We’re behind you even if we can’t get to a game yet!

  5. Good Luck in Regina …. I thought it was strange for Killian not to make the opening weekend roster, they were sighting injury on why they send him the midgets. However, after suiting up 27 for opening night, i figured it was just a matter of time. Lets face it fans, Killian was 19 and Iwould rather see younger and better forwards on the ice.

Best of luck and thank you for all your effort here
