There you have it….they’re all meaningless…the real season starts Saturday.

Lastly…NHL camp updates…Kurtis Mucha (Edmonton), Spencer Bennett (Calgary), Brett Ponich (St. Louis) and Tayler Jordan (Columbus) all remain at pro camp while Luke Walker has been returned to Portland after a successful stint with the New York Rangers at the Traverse City tournament.

I don’t have any other roster updates to report…

  1. Thanks for putting these numbers together – I wanted to add up the goals scored per game, but I figured you would do it for me.

So is it looking like Hutt is out then?

  2. Just an FYI Andy…..in addition to Luke Walker….Tayler Jordan and Spencer Bennett are all back home vs. being at pro-camp.

On a side note…yikes! The only real negative stat jumping out at me is how many 3rd period goals we’ve given up. Otherwise, it’s a great start and absolutely something to look forward to as we head into the “real” hockey season!

  3. Watching the all the pre-season games in person, I started getting concerned about how the stats changed dramatically in the third. It was like the Hawks couldn’t put together a full 60 minutes of out-and-out play. I am HOPING that was just because we were so far ahead in most of the games and the fact that they were pre-season! Don’tcha’ think? We definitely need to stay out of the penalty box, too!

  4. Great site, Andy, love reading it. Sorry, but I haven’t heard what happened to Cornish?
