Space: The Final Frontier…

No, I’m not talking about the new Star Trek movie…

The Winterhawks (one word) announced today that the space between the Winter and Hawks has “retired” and it will just be Winterhawks moving forward.

The Hawks office staff started this off by posting comments on their Twitter site and cryptic messages on Facebook late yesterday afternoon.

Lame, yeah…but effective?  Well, from judging by the number of email’s I received regarding it…using the social network sites to bring attention to your product isn’t a bad idea.

To quote Rush* (as I tend to do) – “Some world views are spacious…and some are merely spaced.”

* – The band, not the radio talk show host…well…duh…

Hitmen Respond…

I just might have to watch Game 6 on Saturday…

Just when it seemed predestined that the Kelowna Rockets would roll over the Calgary Hitmen in the WHL Final after winning Games 1 through 3, the real Hitmen have stood up and have dominated the last two games to make it a 3-2 Final.

It takes 16 wins to advance to the Memorial Cup and the old cliche’ is that the 16th win is the hardest.  I think Kelowna would attest to that.  Right now, all the pressure is on the Rockets to win Game 6 at home on Saturday and not have to board the shared charter plane to Calgary for Game 7 on Monday.

Either way, it has certainly made the series more interesting.
