Quiet In Tri…

The bus rolled into the Toyota Center parking lot a little after 5:00 AM this morning to drop off the gear and then we headed to the Red Lion for a few hours of rest.

The team just had a lunch and all seems quiet right now, but Mike Johnston, Travis Green and Kyle Gustafson were not present at the lunch as they are holed up in a room as the trade deadline approaches.

I’m not expecting anything major, but I’ve been surprised before.

It was a weird game last night in Kelowna…hard to put into words (especially after an all-night bus ride where I got no sleep!) .  A point on the road is always a plus, so you have to be happy with that, but it was a game where I felt that two points were definitely within reach.  In the end, the Hawks didn’t lose any ground to Prince George and Chilliwack, so that is good, but gaining a point would have been better.

The annual winter colds are working their way through the line-up…so far I haven’t been infected…although I probably just cursed myself right there.

I’ve had questions about Jonathan Milhouse and right now, I have no further information on his status.

That’s all for now…I’ll report back after the deadline with any news.
