The Portland Winter Hawks have acquired the rights to 20 year old German import Max Brandl from the Prince Albert Raiders for an 8th Round Bantam Pick in the 2010 WHL Bantam Draft.
Brandl is currently playing in Germany and will be joining the team once his immigration papers are finished.
Brandl played for the Raiders last season, playing n 65 games and scoring 16 -17-33 with 60 penalty minutes.

Also, the Hawks have dealt the rights to 18 year old defenseman Bo Montgomery to the Medicine Hat Tigers for a condtional 5th round pick in the 2010 WHL Bantam Draft.
We’ll see if Bo reports to the Tigers, but since he hasn’t got his release to play college hockey, maybe he’ll join the Hat for the remainder of the season.

Lastly, the Hawks have reassigned 19 year old forward Nick Dietrich to the Yorkton Terriers of the SJHL. Dietrich appeared in 57 games as a Hawk, scoring 1-3-4 with 27 PIM’s.
