Hawks Notes: Spokane @ Portland – September 20, 2008

 

Last Season vs. Spokane:  Spokane won the season series, 8-0-0-1, over the Winter Hawks, with the Hawks only win coming in their last meeting, a 3-2 shootout win on the final day of the 2007-08 regular season.  The Chiefs outscored Portland 50-18 in the series.  Spokane was led by Drayson Bowman (6-9-15 in 8 games) and Mitch Wahl (7-6-13 in 7 games) while goaltender Dustin Tokarski only appeared in one game, a 5-4 shootout win on 12/9/07.  Portland was led by Travis Ehrhardt (1-5-6 in 7 games) and Chris Francis (2-3-5 in 9 games).  Kurtis Mucha went 1-4-0-1 in net for Portland vs. Spokane.  On special teams, Portland went 7 for 43 (16.3%) on the power play while Spokane finished 14 for 47 (29.8%).  

Team Notes:  Portland is (0-0-0-0); (0-0-0-0) at home; (0-0-0-0) on the road.  The Hawks last home win was on March 16, 2008, a 3-2 SO win over Spokane.  The last road win was on January 16, 2008, a 3-2 SO win over Prince George.
