  2. Andy, is the first Portland goal a power-play goal? You have first Bird penalty of second period at 3:31. Goal scored 2:50 of second. no penalty before that. Can you clarify? thanks.

  3. Thanks Andy….was unable to make the game tonight so your period-by-period updates were great! Looks like Killer (Hutt) is a keeper!
    Go Hawks!

  4. i was impressed by: obviously hutt-everytime he was on the ice he was dangerous, rutkowksi-just seemed like the game comes easily to him, and knows what to do!

  5. I hadn’t had to throw my hat in so long, I forgot how to do it. I was only a few rows back and my best hat ended up in the ‘Hawks penalty box…

I really liked Hutt blocking a shot (not sure if it was SH) and limping to the bench. Redden gave him a big slap on the back after that one.

A potential star player who blocks shots in a preseason game is the kind of guy you can get behind.

  6. Looks like we got the usual coverage from the Oregonian this morning. Nothing! That makes
Channel 8 look good for most of last season.

  7. Andy,
I saw some real fear in the Seattle defencemen as that first line of Hutt, Reddin and Ross were relentless in persuit of the puck making them pay for any defensive miscues. It is so much more fun watching it on the other side for a change.

  8. […] It was $12!  Are you kidding me?  That’s a matinee and popcorn!  That said, both Andy and Dylan have me a little excited to see what happens this […]
