Portland vs. Tri City…Ams 4-1 Final…

Its the final game of the Tri City tournament and jobs are on the line.  Head Coach Rich Kromm will be next to me in the press box today as he gets a final look at some players as there will be decisions made tonight and tomorrow on who will remain with the team.  (Note – that just because someone isn’t dressed today it shouldn’t be read that they have or have not made the team.)

Unfortunately, one decision was made – for now – when Ryan Andersen went into the boards at center ice yesterday and suffered a – you guessed it – shoulder injury.  Preliminary diagnosis is 6-8 weeks.

Also, I didn’t mention earlier, but meant to, that neither Chris Francis nor Brett Ponich made the trip to Tri City.  They didn’t want to rush Francis back from his upper body injury suffered last weekend in Everett and Ponich had a mild ankle injury from this past week.  Neither is serious, but it was decided to keep them at home this weekend.
